How CPS Will Handle Grades

Cincinnati Public Schools recently announced its fourth-quarter grading plan for K-12 students.

Teachers will issue grades of pass or incomplete for the last nine-week period of the 2019-2020 academic year.

A passing grade indicates students completed schoolwork, such as the enrichment packet or assignments posted in Schoology, an online platform for teachers and students. A grade of incomplete indicates students completed little or no schoolwork or the teacher could not reach the student via email or phone during the school closure.

Students will receive weekly feedback from teachers about their fourth quarter progress and assignments. The last day to submit schoolwork for the quarter is May 20.

At the high school level, students will not have to take final exams or assessments.

Request a Teacher Call Back

CPS teachers will be holding office hours each week to connect with students and parents – answering questions and offering feedback about academic content. Please make sure to check PowerSchool to ensure that CPS has your family’s correct phone number and email address. To request a call back from your child’s teacher, complete this form.
